S-type horizontal single-stage double suction split pump Installation and use

The S-type water pump is a single-stage, double suction horizontal split casing centrifugal clear water pump, suitable for industrial、urban water supply and drainage pumps. It can be used as a drainage or water supply pump for factories, cities, power stations, water conservancy projects, and can also be used for agricultural irrigation. The “S” series pump is an efficient and energy-saving product with the characteristics of simple structure and excellent performance. For transporting clean water without solid particles or other liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to water, the temperature of the medium being transported is between 0 ℃ and 80 ℃, and the allowable inlet pressure is 0.6MPa.

1.Check that the S-type split pump and electric motor are undamaged.

2.The installation height of the water pump, combined with the hydraulic loss of the suction pipeline and its speed energy, shall not exceed the allowable vacuum suction height value specified in the sample. The basic size shall comply with the installation size of the pump unit.

3.Installation sequence:

3.1 Place the water pump on a concrete foundation with embedded anchor bolts, level it by adjusting the wedge-shaped cushion blocks between them, and tighten the anchor bolts appropriately to prevent movement.

3.2 Pour concrete between the foundation and pump foundation.

3.3 After the concrete has dried, tighten the anchor bolts and recheck the levelness of the S-type split pump.

3.4 Correct the concentricity between the motor shaft and the pump shaft, so that the two shafts are in a straight line. The coaxiality tolerance on the outer surface of the two shafts is 0.1mm, and the unevenness tolerance of the end face clearance along the circumference is 0.3mm.After connecting the inlet and outlet water pipes and conducting a trial run, they should be calibrated separately and still meet the above requirements.

3.5 After checking that the direction of the electric motor is consistent with the direction of the water pump, install the coupling and connecting pin.

4. The inlet and outlet water pipes should be supported by additional brackets and should not be supported by the pump body.

5. The joint surface between the water pump and the pipeline should ensure good airtightness, especially the inlet pipeline, which should strictly ensure no air leakage, and there should be no possibility of air accumulation on the device.

6. When the S-type split pump is installed above the inlet water level, a bottom valve can generally be installed to start the pump. Vacuum water diversion can also be used.

7. A gate valve and a check valve are generally required between the water pump and the outlet pipeline (those with a head less than 20m are not required), and the check valve is installed behind the gate valve.

The installation method mentioned above refers to water pump units without a common base.

Install a pump with a common base and adjust the level of the unit by using wedge-shaped shims between the base and the concrete foundation. Then pour concrete in between. The installation principles and requirements are the same as those for units without a common base.

Starting, stopping, and running of S-type split pump

1. Starting and stopping the pump:

1.1 Before starting, rotate the rotor of the pump gently and evenly.

1.2 Close the outlet gate valve and inject water into the pump (if there is no bottom valve, use a vacuum pump to evacuate and divert water), ensuring that the pump is filled with water and free of air pockets.

1.3 If a vacuum gauge or pressure gauge is installed on the pump, close the plug connected to the pump and start the motor. Wait until the speed is normal before opening it; Then gradually open the outlet gate valve. If the flow rate is too high, the gate valve can be appropriately closed for adjustment; On the contrary, if the flow rate is too small, open the gate valve wider.

1.4 Evenly tighten the compression nut on the packing gland to allow the liquid to drip out, while also paying attention to the temperature rise at the packing chamber.

1.5 When stopping the operation of the water pump, the plugs of the vacuum gauge and pressure gauge, as well as the gate valve on the outlet pipeline, should be closed. Then, the power supply of the motor should be turned off. If the ambient temperature drops, the square screw plug at the lower end of the pump body should be opened to drain the remaining water to prevent the pump body from freezing and cracking.

1.6 When the pump was stopped for a long time, the water pump should be dismantled to dry the water on the parts, and anti rust coating should be applied to the machining surface.

2. Pump Operation:

2.1 The maximum temperature of the water pump bearing shall not exceed 75 ℃.

2.2 The amount of calcium based grease used for lubricating bearings should occupy 1/3 to 1/2 of the bearing body space.

2.3 When the packing is worn out, the packing gland can be appropriately tightened. If there is too much hemp damage, it should be replaced.

2.4 Regularly inspect the coupling components and pay attention to the temperature rise of the motor bearings.

2.5 During operation, if any noise or other abnormal sounds are found, the vehicle should be stopped immediately, the cause checked, and eliminated.

2.6 It is not allowed to arbitrarily increase the speed of the water pump, but it can be used to reduce the speed.
